Hi,

I'm Gary Schmitt and I'm the owner of Sierra Nordic.

I have more than 25 years experience in the cross country ski industry. I've been a ski school director in five states and two hemispheres, lastly at Tahoe Donner Cross Country, Truckee CA.

I've ski toured in California, Montana, Canada, Australia and Northern India.

Though I'm a very keen and (sometimes) accomplished cross country skier, I am still an active instructor. I've not forgotten what it's like to be a beginner. I look forward to helping you find just the right equipment, no matter what your goals and expectations are.

This is Ralph Johnson. Ralph is the Captain of our Regional Atomic Team. In the winter he's a full time ski racer and valued part time Sierra Nordic employee. Ralph probably waxes more skis than anyone I know!
