Saturday March 1st:

This next week is a big week of racing. Whether they are doing the Great Ski Race here in Tahoe or the Masters Worlds in McCall(or both!), I want to wish our regional Atomic Team the best of luck!  Team captain RALPH JOHNSON and the rest of the gang have been prepping skis for a week.  The hot boxing and base layers are done, it's almost race time.

MOLLY ZURN  regional Atomic Team member set a New Women's Record of 33,000 ft. In The Third Annual, 24 Hours of Sunlight. This is an endurance race challenging skiers to hike up the mountain and ski, board, and/or snowshoe down, for an entire 24 hour period. Molly traveled to the Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs Colorado for the event.  Congratulations Molly!

JUNE LANE and JUDY RABINOWITZ have a real shot at podium finishes, go get 'em!

TERRY DALEY has had some strong finishes this year and I believe will be racing the Great Ski Race, best of luck!

Best of luck too, to Cathy Howard of Truckee and the regional Atomic Team who will ski the Great Race and then head off McCall.
