| Skate boots have soles that are not built to flex much. They are usually fitted tighter and perhaps shorted than other cross country boots. Unless they are older and beaten up they can cause excess slip at your heel, blisters, or sore toes if used for classic skiing. |

 SALOMON S-LAB PRO
Lots of new technology in the Salomon S-lab Pro. The pivot point (pins) have been moved an additional 7mm further under the foot. This is meant to improve power transmission and improve handling, control and responsivness. The Power Hold System's most visible feature is the racheted buckle over the arch of the foot. This draws the foot into the carbon cradle for added support and control. The carbon energizer cuff adds support.
